Disney, who doesn’t know it? Didn’t we all grow up with the Disney classics? With Snow White, Ariel, or Lady and the Tramp? With Mulan, Aladdin, and how could I dare to forget the Lion King? Right now, when Mufasa, another live-action Disney adaptation of the Lion King saga, is coming to the cinema, you can see Simba, Nala, Timon, and Pumba everywhere. And that’s how I discovered great Disney dog fashion in the supermarket. In Pepco, to be precise, I immediately snapped it up and bought two dog harnesses with matching leads for my miniature poodle Burberry Balenciaga.
From dog model to Disney dog fashion
We love dog accessories and clothing and can never get enough of dog fashion. The dog’s well-being is, of course, the most important thing here, but it is winter, it is cold, and my poodle has no undercoat. Dog clothing is therefore urgently needed at the moment! Our Disney dog fashion is not primarily about clothing but about two different Disney sets for the Lion King dog. Both sets consist of a dog harness and a matching leash. There were also collars, but I didn’t like them so much; I don’t like thin collars, and with a broader band, the collars would have been too big.
There were two sets to choose from; if you can’t decide, the most obvious decision is to take both sets. That’s precisely what I did (and I don’t regret anything). This article is about how I style both Disney sets for everyday life. Of course, there is also a video on YouTube about this. It’s worth it, because there you can see the sets in motion again and I think clothes look entirely different in videos than in photos. Burberry is a real dog model, we love taking photos and we take lots of pictures, which we will show you here. However, if you want to be a bit more up-to-date, I recommend our Instagram channel and our TikTok channel. Here you will find out all the latest news much earlier, you can contact us directly and personally and we also go live regularly.

Play Eat Roar
In our YouTube videos, we always show several dog outfits. To make it clearer and not just „the one from this and that video“, I give our outfits names. Our first outfit from our Disney dog fashion series from the Lion King is called Play Eat Roar, simply because this lettering is printed on the set (so uncreative on my part). The set is dark yellow to light orange with black lettering and our main characters, Simba, Pumba and Timon, are also printed in black as an outline. It is a very nice design that we combined with a dog sweater and bandana for everyday life. Dog sweater and bandana, both from Momoselle. The sweater in a beautiful nutty, slightly reddish brown with light glitter threads in the knit. It is very nice and elegant, perfect for everyday life, and the ideal color combination with light orange. That alone would have been too little, so a bandana was added. The bandana in lime green with a flower and leaf pattern that captures the jungle feeling from the film. A great combination that looks great and will appeal to every Disney fan.
Hakuna Matata
I like to say this saying: Who doesn’t know it? Our second outfit is green combined with yellow—two colors that I don’t really like and that I wouldn’t normally combine. Luckily, I did it anyway, and the result is really a positive surprise.
The harness and leash are in a light green, this time with a colorful print of the saying Hakuna Matata as well as our main characters, Simba, Pumba, and Timon, marching in a row in colorful. And here, too, I combined the set with a dog sweater (it’s really cold) and a bandana, and both from Momoaselle. The dog sweater in yellow with glitter threads. Yellow is the perfect color because it keeps appearing in the harness and leash. I wanted to leave the dog bandana in green and here I had a nice one in a slightly darker green with a houndstooth pattern with a little glitter. Everything harmonizes perfectly, and we have a harmonious outfit. Which of our two outfits do you like better?

Dog treats and lion’s mane for dogs
You certainly haven’t missed Burberry’s lion’s head. I styled the poodle curls with two braids, which gives volume and is a bit reminiscent of a small lion’s mane. I’ve tried out lots of hairstyles with Burberry, from a teddy bear cut to wildly overgrown. We best like the two braids or the single braid in the middle.
I always have a few dog treats to motivate me to keep the photo shoot and video shoot for Burberry exciting and interesting. We had the Meat Bites, Chicken & Lamb from Mac’s this time. Surprisingly, they were well received and tasted very good. The bag can be resealed and I recommend doing this again – don’t forget – because the smell was really very pungent, like dog food.
