Our favorite Halloween dog outfits - POODLE BREFERRED 10

Halloween is just around the corner, and I love this time of year. Not just because of the feel, actually, because of the costumes. We have a lot of Halloween dog outfits that we wear in everyday life around Halloween time. The crucial thing is that they don’t look too much like a costume and in no way restrict the dog. Many dogs need dog clothes when it starts to get colder; my miniature poodle Burberry Balenciaga is no exception.

Halloween dog outfits

In this post we will introduce you to 3 different everyday outfits that we love to wear at Halloween time. Who knows how many more will be added next year – hopefully a few more! First I should mention: The Halloween dog outfits are all homemade. Knitted and sewn yourself. We’re now on YouTube with a DOG DIY category and with a bit of luck we’ll also have Halloween dog diy’s there next year.

Let’s start with our Neon Spider sweater. Here I have knitted a dog sweater in dark purple. As you probably already know, I have my own dog fashion brand, Momoselle. So I knitted the dog sweater according to a specific pattern. It corresponds to the same style as the Cashmere Forever dog sweaters. Suitable for Halloween in a very dark purple. Then I discovered a neon orange spider web made of felt – in the Halloween decoration department. I thought it looked great and combined with black velvet spiders it was simply brilliant.

I sewed the neon orange felt net onto the sweater and also hand sewed the spiders onto the sweater. The only important thing was to make sure that the sweater remained elastic. Everything worked out better than expected and voila, a great Halloween dog sweater for Burberry the dog fashionista! For the whole outfit I wanted to stay in this “Neon Toxic Sil” and chose the Beauty Sleep Set from the Hello Hollywood collection by Momoselle. The color just matches and I really like the combination.

Beauty Sleep to Pumpkin

I can’t explain to you why, but after this outfit, I had it with the Beauty Sleep Set and totally associated it with Halloween. In another DIY, I made a pumpkin dog bandana myself. Yes, I do a lot of things myself, because often the dog fashion and accessories that I imagine don’t exist. I want to dress my dog appropriately for Halloween, but not in a costume. Halloween fashion for dogs without everything looking like costumes. I think I did that well this year, and next year it will only get better because I have new ideas again.

Back to the Beauty Sleep Set. This yellow combined with the glittery black as a houndstooth – it gives me Halloween vibes and I wanted to see it as a dog Halloween outfit, so we styled it. Collar, leash and the soft harness from Beauty Sleep with the Pumpkin dog bandana – unmistakably Halloween!

The pumpkin dog bandana with sweater

Just a short section, because there is another complete article about this. Halloween is pumpkin and it was clear that we needed a pumpkin outfit. Pumpkin costumes for dogs are available on mass – but that was out of the question for us. It had to be something more subtle, so I knitted a dog bandana in orange and sewed Kübi’s typical face on it. Here too, an experiment that I wasn’t sure whether it would work because I had previously knitted a dog bandana.

Surprisingly, it worked more than well. I combined it with a Momoselle Cashmere forever sweater which, for me, is a perfect color for Halloween. What do you think of our Halloween outfits? I love it!
