Netflix will come afterwards! The Nielsen data prove this, click here for the report: YouTube dominates the US TV viewership. No escape from videos

I always loved taking photos because I was good at it. I was good at photography, had a professional SLR camera and was also reasonably good at editing with Photoshop. I’m still good at it, I assume I’ve continued to improve. But photo content is no longer as popular as it used to be – now everyone wants videos!

After a bumpy start on TikTok, where things just don’t get any better, we have now ventured onto YouTube. There are already a lot of dog videos on YouTube – but not what we want to do. I did extra research! You probably already know my little poodle Burberry Balenciaga, she is a successful dog model and a true dog fashionista. So what makes us different from other dog videos on YouTube? – For us everything will revolve around dog fashion, outfits and styling. Dog DIY videos in which we make dog clothes and accessories ourselves are also planned.

Dog videos on YouTube

I’m not a big YouTuber. I don’t know much about video editing and have never filmed videos like this. My TikTok videos are not very successful. I post 3 videos a day, although I have a lot of followers, I can hardly get more than 300 views per video. I don’t know why, maybe my videos are just bad. And yet I still want to start on YouTube, of course with a plan and strategy. If so, then right.

*Addendum at the end of November 24
The channel started on November 1st, 2024. Initially only with YouTube Shorts. That didn’t go badly. We achieved between 400 and 500 views per video. I have to admit, I made it very easy for myself and simply posted the existing TikTok videos without a stamp (without a stamp, very important!) 3 videos a day. The first at 10 a.m., then 3 p.m. and then 8 p.m. I can’t say what role time played and which videos ran better. Currently I can say that all videos ran equally well.

The long videos started 2 weeks later – I needed more preparation and a few attempts. As a bit of a perfectionist, I was never satisfied and actually I still am not – but if I continue like this, I will end up with no videos and no opportunity to improve. So I posted my dog videos on YouTube! Views were slow at first, but the numbers continued to climb. I posted 3 times a week, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. All videos between 8 to 10 minutes long with the topic of dog fashion.
